EPCOT is one of the 4 main parks at Disney World, and a great one for a mix of great restaurants, shows, and plenty of fun rides. If this is the main park you want to spend a lot of time at, or if you just enjoy being close to EPCOT, you've got plenty of options spanning a variety of budgets and themes.

My family and I have stayed at, or visited, the majority of hotels close to EPCOT. Some have more amenities than others, better walk-ability, pools, on-site restaurants, or other features. After visiting Disney World probably 100+ times, here's my thoughts on this great area. Here are the BEst Hotels Closest to EPCOT.

So, What Hotels Are Close By?

There's a lot of options here. The closest hotels to EPCOT, in order of proximity, are: Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin, Swan Reserve, Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans, Old Key West.

My Favorite Hotel Closest to EPCOT

The Yacht & Beach Club, in my humble opinion, is the best resort in all of Disney World. It has a perfect mix of walkability (EPCOT + Hollywood Studios), restaurants, shops, on-site amenities such as an enormous pool, and more. Although they are two separate hotels, they share the same pool and they do connect through interior hallways. You can't go wrong with either one, although my family typically stays at the Yacht Club.

The rooms have a great nautical theme (as I'm sure you already guessed). The beds are comfortable. The resort is nice and relaxing. The only "negative" here is that it's such a large resort that depending on what room you get, you could be walking for a while.

Yacht and Beach Club Resorts share what I think is the best pool area of any hotel in or around Disney property, called Stormalong Bay. This area underwent a renovation in 2025 and is back just as good as ever.

This area has some really awesome restaurants, including:

  • Yachtsman Steakhouse – Upscale dining for steak and seafood.

  • Ale & Compass Lounge – a fun bar with great drinks & snacks.

  • Cape May Cafe – a nice breakfast and dinner spot.

  • Beaches & Cream Soda Shop – this is a fun 1950's style diner right by the pool.

  • Hurricane Hanna's Bar & Grill – a fun little bar right by the pool and the Boardwalk.

A Close Runner Up

Swan & Dolphin are two separate hotels but one full resort complex that sits in the Boardwalk/EPCOT area. These are the only hotels on Disney property that are not owned by Disney and are instead owned by Westin. This resort is absolutely massive. It has 5 shared pools, a huge sandy area to relax or play in, game courts, shops, restaurants, and bars. There's plenty to do. Then, if you need more, walk across a bridge or two and you're on the Boardwalk for even more to do. You can access EPCOT by the walking path (about 7 minute walk) or by boat.

If you're looking for a little more upscale, the Swan Reserve is the newest addition to this area and is a great option.

Additional Great Hotels Close to EPCOT

Depending on your budget or theme choice, my next 2 choices for hotels close to EPCOT are Port Orleans French Quarter and the Riviera Resort.

Port Orleans has a great french theme to it, a cozy atmosphere, great pools and splash pads, and more for a reasonable price. It's part of a larger complex along the river that includes Port Orleans Riverside. The themeing captures the essense of both French culture and everything you've come to recognize from New Orleans. The on-site restaurants have great food and, if you're into a fun snack, has the best bengeits anywhere in Disney World. You can access EPCOT by bus. Or if you want to go to Disney Springs, hop on the boat. I've stayed here a few times and it has become one of my overall favorite hotels.

The Riviera Resort is a newer high-rise hotel that is on the premium end of the price spectrum. The entire hotel was meant to capture the grandeur of famous European hotels. You can access EPCOT by bus or by the Skyliner.

If you want to be closer, but want an alternative from the Yacht & Beach Club, Disney's BoardWalk Resort is a wonderful option. This is also a huge resort complex with easy access to tons of activities, shops, and restaurants. EPCOT is a very short walk or you can take a boat.
