Get a High Score at Toy Story Mania!

Have you ever been on Toy Story Mania, felt like you gave it your all, only to see your best score it's even half way to the high score of the day? How do people get 550,000 or more points? Well, I wondered that, too. I played my best many times, wearing myself. Here's my tips and tricks for getting high scores while having a lot of fun!

What Is Toy Story Mania?

Well, quite simply, it is one of the most fun indoor rides at Hollywood Studios. It's a shooting ride where you get into rotating cars with laser guns attached and go through a lot of mini-games to get the best score you can.

Practice

This is truly just a practice round to get you engaged in the game. Don't waste too much energy on this one. Just warm up and get ready for the first real game.

Hamm and Eggs

This is an egg throwing game that features Hamm and Buttercup from Toy Story 3. In this game, there's a barn in the upper left corner and a multitude of other things that come and go.

The key to this game is flipping the barn as many times as possible. If you watch closely, you'll see a horse, chicken, and mouse running around it. Hit them all and the barn will flip. Each time you do so, the points on everything increases, allowing you to score more and more points. You should be able to easily hit 50,000 or more points in this game.

Rex & Trixie's Dino Darts

This is a fun game where you shoot darts at balloons that pop-up in a dinosaur world with a volcano. And that's the key. Target shooting the volcano, which will have 3 long balloons hanging from it, until it explodes. Once this happens, balloons worth 500 points each will begin to flow out of the top of the volcano. Shoot away and rack up points! You'll also see 2 meteors appear in either corner of the screen. Shoot those and you'll see additional meteors crash in and explode with more 500 point balloons. Target 80,000 or more points in this game.

Green Army Men Shoot Camp

This is one of my favorite portions of the ride. Green Army Men drop in from all directions with plates that you have to destroy. The first thing to hone in on are plates coming in from the left hand side of the screen. Fire away at these 500 and 1,000 point plates as fast as you can. There's a few that will fly in as well that you can hit. If you get them all, the mountain in the center should fall and reveal a control center with a tank. Bunches of 2,000 point plates will fly into the air. The tank will also fire 5,000 point plates at you. Start firing away as fast as possible. Target 70,000 or more points in this game.

Buzz Lightyear's Flying Tossers

This fun game incorporates Buzz Lightyear, the aliens, and rockets. The key to scoring high here is the rocket ship in the middle of the screen. Rapidly fire and put rings around all of them. If you manage this, the rocket will take off to the sky, leaving a robot monster. Aliens will then drop down that are worth 5,000 points. Hit these and surrounding rockets worth 1,000 each. The robot's mouth will open and close revealing higher and higher point values. You should be able to get 120,000 or more points here.

Game 6: Woody's Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' Gallery

This is a wild west game with Woody and friends where you shoot bullseyes that pop up all over the screen. There will be boxes that explode out on the side of the screen. Start rapidly shooting them. Also at the center of the screen, shoot the barn door and it should open with a rabbit that pops out. A bunch of new bullseyes worth 1,000 points will pop up. Clear the board and more with 2,000 point targets will show up. Then, hit the birds in the trees, the deer, and other animals to get additional points.

Then this will move to mine carts where you just need to shoot as fast as possible. Once all the mine carts fall away, large targets will appear. Pick one and fire as fast as you can. The point values will increase over time, so the faster you shoot, the more points you'll get.
