Magic Kingdom's Best Snacks

Let's be real: We don't just visit Disney Parks—specifically for here the Magic Kingdom—just for the rides and magic; we visit for the snacks! Yes, I said it: snacks. And food. But mostly snacks. A lot of my day at the parks is based around food, when we can get reservations, what I want for snacks, etc. Not everything, but definitely weighted to account for these things.

After years of visiting the Magic Kingdom, here are some of my absolute favorite snacks that you just shouldn't pass up!

My Favorite & Best Snack: Gaston's Pub Cinnamon Roll

Despite a great location within Fantasyland, Gaston's Tavern is often overlooked. I've talked with countless friends and acquaintances and it always surprises me how many haven't stopped here or even heard of it. This is one "snack" that you can easily have as a full meal if you want it to be. My family usually buys 2 of these for the 5 of us and shares, creating a wonderful snack.

Runner-Up Best Snack: Dole Whip in Adventureland

Years ago there used to be only 2 places to get Pineapple Dole Whip ice cream: Disney and at the Dole Plantation. Although that's no longer true, that doesn't make this snack any less of a true treat. Part of it is the environment and visiting the Tiki-Hut themed shop in Adventureland to get it and then sitting on the wall in front of the Enchanted Tiki Room to eat it while you watch everyone.

If you're not feeling pineapple flavor at the moment, try the Citrus Swirl or one of the other flavors they have.

Honorable Mention #1 Best Snack: Turkey Leg

Turkey Leg's aren't something you usually have outside of a fair, but they are certainly commonplace at Disney. The Magic Kingdom is one of two places in Disney World that you can get them (the other being EPCOT). If you've never tried one, or just want to relive a past experience, stop by Liberty Square's Market and grab one. These are sometimes available at food carts as well as other spots in Liberty Square. These are tasty, and can be a lot of meat on them, so my family and I often share to make it into a nice snack.

Honorable Mention #2: Churro's

The Churro's available in Frontierland and Adventureland are pretty good. Even better if you catch them when they are fresh. The chocolate sauce that comes with it is just okay (IMO). But, what's even better is that Disney releases special churro's for holiday's. So stop by a Frontierland food cart and grab one!

Honorable Mention #3: Mickey Pretzel

These pretzels are almost as iconic as the mouse himself, but certainly not as great. The pretzels will certainly entertain the kids. In terms of flavor, they're just OK and not anything noteworthy. You can get them just about anywhere throughout all Disney parks.

For more great snacks, you'll do well to check out magic extra events, such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, as there are always special snacks available for those events not available any other time of year.
